About stono knife works

Stono Knife Works was founded in 2016 to create functional tools for the kitchen and field by four friends with a passion for quality gear.

The forge was first opened on the banks of the Stono River where the first knives were tested in the dense coastal wilderness surrounding it. Whether it be processing kindling from driftwood or filleting a fresh caught Red Spot: the blades continue to perform their tasks with ease.

Our founders saw the need for these reliable tools by the folks who use them as well as to protect the environment in which they are used, thus reclaimed steel, wood, and environmentally sourced products are all used: minimizing waste and supporting eco-friendly businesses to keep the wilderness wild.

Stono Knife Works has since grown and thus is now located at the Taylors Mill in Upstate South Carolina.
